2 We believe that our GPs are all 'the best person for the job' as part of a team of doctors, assistants and managers. Our practice focuses on 'first time right' care.

3 By managing our own software programmes, we can constantly improve our software by adjusting to your and our needs.

1 Digital contact is also personal

  • 1. At doccs we offer visits to the doctor, house consults, chat and tele/video consults;
  • 2. This way we can build close contact with our patients;
  • 3. The patient chooses the means of communication and the doctor adjusts when needed.

2 More time for the patient by scheduling a maximum of only 3 appointments per hour, each patient will receive sufficient attention from the doctor. The doctor will have greater variety in his/her workday by dealing with asynchronic tasks in between consults.

3 Everyone is welcome at doccs, whether you prefer to use the app or not. We have welcomed many elderly patients who don't use the app, and we are always reachable by phone.

Excellent employment conditions

1 A GP at doccs is an independent professional who wants to and can work in a team.

2 An official work relationship can come in different forms. As an entrepreneur/employee our GPs will earn substantially more than the collective labour agreement requires.

3 We offer flexible work schedules and the opportunity to work at different locations.

I have been working as a doctor for almost 10 years now, having worked as a GP since early 2022. Health to me means more than 'absence of illness' and is about how you feel in your body, how you feel emotionally/psychologically and whether you are managing well to perform the roles you have set yourself. Feel welcome with any question or concern you have and I will look at how I can help or advise you with commitment, compassion and sincerity.

I find the beauty of the general practitioner profession that no two days are the same and that you can be a support to people. I think that the digitization of doccs can contribute to helping more people properly, without losing personal contact.

Frequently asked questions

  • what does doccs cost?

    In the Netherlands, general practitioners can only claim directly from Dutch health insurance companies. Are you not insured at all or do you have international health insurance? Then you pay for your consultation with us and you can submit it to your insurer yourself. You will receive an invoice from us after payment which you can use for your claim.

    We will also send you an invoice for contact via the doccs app. You can then arrange payment online, or pay the invoice when you are in the practice within a short time afterwards.

    Do you have a Dutch health insurance? Then care by a general practitioner is paid for by your health insurance company, including the services provided by doccs and the use of the doccs app. Depending on your health care needs, costs may be deducted from your deductible. For more information on this, please refer to your insurer.

  • will doccs provide a personal GP?

    Yes. doccs has a GP team per GP practice. When you schedule an appointment, you choose your own doccs doctor.

  • what questions can I ask via the app?

    doccs is there for all your health care questions. Do not use the doccs app in life-threatening situations or emergencies. In life-threatening situations, call 112. In emergencies, call your doccs GP . In case of emergencies outside office hours, call the central GP post (huisartsenpost).

  • is doccs properly secured?

    Yes. When you start using the app, select a 5-digit personal PIN. You enter it every time you open the app, so that only you can access your data. The chat is secured with end-to-end encryption. Chats are sent encrypted. Of course, the doccs app meets all Dutch and European requirements set by law for the protection of personal data.

  • who are the people behind doccs?

    doccs is an initiative of Jan de Bruijn, Stijn de Ruijter and Merijn Stouten. In previous roles in the past 15 years as a marketer at a health insurance company, as a general practitioner and a strategy consultant in healthcare, Jan, Stijn and Merijn have seen that healthcare in the Netherlands is well-developed, but that there is still room for improvement. Innovation in GP offices is needed, and that is why doccs was founded.

    doccs b.v. is registered with the Chamber of Commerce in Utrecht under number KVK76359808.
